New Political Map Of Nepal 2020 Including Limpiyadhura

he government of Nepal has endorsed an updated new political map of Nepal that includes all territories that Nepal claims. This new updated political map of Nepal includes contested lands on the northwestern edge of the country, up to Limpiyadhura.

Minister for Land Management Padma Aryal had tabled the updated political map at Monday’s Cabinet meeting. The map was subsequently endorsed.

“Today’s Cabinet meeting endorsed the updated map of Nepal proposed by the Ministry of Land Management,” said Yubaraj Khatiwada, the government spokesperson, at a press briefing following the Cabinet meeting. “The new map includes Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh and Kalapani.”

• New Map Published Date: 2077 Jestha 5
• New Area of Nepal: 1,47,491 Square Kilometre
• Added area: 310 Square Kilometre
• First time Nepal included Limpiyadhura in its map.
• Sugauli Sandhi: 1816 March 4 A.D., between East India Company and Nepal, On Dhara 5, it was stated border between Nepal and India  is Kali Nadi.
• On 2032 B.S. first time Nepal created own Map. Before this it was depended on map created by British India and Indian Map.
• Mahakali Sandhi: 2052 Magh 29 (No. of Dhara: 12)
